Our Pastor
Pastor Dennis Wong was educated in Britain as a school boy. God lead him to Toronto while he accepted the Lord at Toronto Chinese Alliance Church where he committed his life to full- time Christian ministry. He gave up his education at University of Toronto and entered Heritage Baptist Seminary where he finished with a Bachelor of Christian Education degree. He began church ministry in 1989 at his mother church where he was serving under the leadership of Rev. Stephen Chan and Rev. Michael Chan, he gained a lot of ministry insights while he was mentored by those two pastors. In 1991 he graduated from Ontario Theological Seminary (today’s Tyndale Seminary) with a Master of Divinity degree and was involved in the church plant initiative at North Toronto Chinese Alliance Church. From 1999-2005 Dennis continued to involve in church planting ministries at Jubilee Alliance Church and Praiseland Missionary Church in Markham. Rev. Wong sees worship as the hub of Christian living. He began to develop his vision of Christian worship while he was studying for his doctoral degree at Fuller Seminary; he sees the church worship as a life transforming agent and a platform for radiation of our Christian faith. A believer is at the pinnacle of his faith when he is participating in a Sunday worship. Meanwhile, with effective technical supports, proper music, songs, hymns, aided by appropriate artistic creativities, a worship service will bring about the desired degree of transformation of a believer. In addition, an inspiring message with the grace of God enhances the fellowship between God and his people. Dennis hopes to see genuine life changes via a true worship at Grace Church.
